"The development of artificial general intelligence is probably the most important thing happening in the world right now."— Sam Altman, 2023(OpenAI CEO)
AGI Impact S.L. researches how artificial intelligence transforms the workforce today and in the future. While Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) represents a long-term horizon, current AI systems are already reshaping jobs and industries at scale.
We analyze where AI is replacing human labor, project the pace of this transformation, and identify which roles are most at risk. Our goal is to help organizations anticipate disruption, build resilient strategies, and shape a responsible future of work.

Understanding the trajectory of AGI development through key milestones
The term "Artificial Intelligence" is born at Dartmouth College in 1956. Early researchers believe smart machines are just around the corner, but predictions prove far too optimistic.
The "AI Winter" begins as ambitious projects fall short. However, important groundwork is laid for future breakthroughs in machine learning and neural networks.
The term "Artificial General Intelligence" emerges, distinguishing it from narrow AI. Researchers begin to formalize what true general intelligence might look like.
AlexNet launches the modern AI boom in 2012. GPT-3 shows impressive language abilities, and systems like Gato demonstrate progress toward more general capabilities.
Major AI labs report significant advances in reasoning and multi-modal capabilities. The US announces a national action plan to accelerate AGI research and maintain technological leadership. The conversation shifts from "if" to "when" AGI arrives.
